Our Festival Of Ideas will bring together people from across Leeds to stimulate and develop fresh ideas for helping people across the city to live happy, independent lives in their own homes.

The Festival of Ideas will take place from 10am until 4pm (with arrivals from 930am) at Hillside in Beeston.

If you are an individual or from an organisation with an idea for a social business which could benefit any of the following people in Leeds, then we'd love you to come along:

• Older People
• People with a disability or a sensory impairment
• People with a learning disability
• People with a mental health need

The day will kick off with an inspiring talk from Robert Ashton, the  leading social entrepreneur and author of How to be a social entrepreneur, make money & change the world. 

There will also be practical workshops to help you to develop your social enterprise idea, and an opportunity to find out more about the DIY social business planning sessions which we'll be running in October and November.

We will also tell you more about our Investment Programme - which has £10,000 to invest in each of the six best social enterprise ideas - plus smaller amounts to invest in the early-stage development of new ideas.
